The annual meeting of the Rotary Club of Woodstock-Oxford was held at 6:30 pm on December 14, 2005 at the home of Jack and Sally Bingham.  After the meeting was called to order by President Pieter Stam, the invocation was given by Garry Honcoop followed by toasts to the Queen, Canada and Finland.  Ilene Buchanan introduced our guest at the meeting, Sally Bingham - a guest in her own home!

The meeting included the election of officers for the upcoming year, resulting as follows:
For the year 2006/07 (beginning July 1, 2006):
President:  Paul Bradford
President Elect:  Michael Sheehan
Past President:  Pieter Stam
Treasurer:  Paul Turner
Secretary:  to be determined
Directors:  Norm Narancsik, Coral Sheehan, Jack Bingham, Paul LeRoy

Garry Honcoop agreed to serve as Treasurer until Paul Turner takes over July 1, 2006.

Regarding the upcoming 25th anniversary of the club, Mike Sheehan approached the Sentinel-Review about considering a special supplement and the response seemed agreeable.  We also need a special event or project to commemorate the anniversary.  There was discussion about possibly holding a special evening or BBQ; about inviting previous exchange students, past presidents, and charter members; or donating a special flower garden or area of a park.  It was agreed that the discussion would continue in January.
