Over the next 15 to 20 years StreetKeepers is hoping to expand from India into the African nations that are plagued with the AIDs epidemic.

The StreetKeepers project was introduced to our Club by one of our members, Tom Thirtle of Distinct Options.  We have been granted a limited fundraising license to sell specific items for this project.  Ten percent of the gross sales are being remitted to Rotary International.

Distinct Options has become a non-profit entity that reflects the ideals of Rotary with all profits from this project going to StreetKeepers after the royalty remittance to Rotary International.
The club is aiming to raise $10,000.00 to support one shelter for one year.

All items are high quality and 100% Canadian.  Retail price is usually between $80 and $90 but for this project we have been able to set a  price of $54.95 for the vest and $59.95 for the jacket.  All taxes are included in the price.  Wearing your Rotary Vest or Jacket will not only help promote Rotary but save the lives of many children.

Nelson thanked our speakers and commented that Rotary is the way it is because of people like Wendy and Tom, that are willing to take on projects to help people in need.

After the meeting about 10-12 Rotarians went ahead and ordered a jacket or a vest to support the Hyde Park Club in their fundraising.

Meeting adjourned at 7.35 P.M.
