Doug is a Charter Member and Past President of the Woodstock-Oxford Rotary Club, with 22 years of perfect attendance. He has been involved in various local and international projects. He is a graduate of the University of Guelph and manages Vincent Farm Equipment, a third generation family business. Locally, he serves as a Church Trustee and as Board Member of the Oxford Police Service. Doug has been recognized as a top marketing expert by the Canadian Agricultural Marketing Association. He is well recognized in a number of countries for his role in promoting global understanding, brotherhood and world peace.


His introduction to Rotary came as a G.S.E. team member to Australia in 1977. He was a G.S.E. Team Leader to the Philippines in 1995 and since then has been coordinating Rotary humanitarian aid in that country. In addition to multiple trips there, he has traveled the globe on Rotary activities, to areas like: Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Hong Kong, Korea, South America and China. Doug is a Paul Harris Fellow, the highest honor bestowed by Rotary. Over the years Doug has received a number of awards and citations such as - R.I. President's Club Citation, District Service Award, Four Avenues of Service Citation and Outstanding Leadership Award.


As International Chairman of ROTI (Rotarians on the Internet) Doug's contribution to Rotary is well known. He developed the ROTI Institute, with a global responsibility of sharing knowledge and experience with Rotarians via the internet, in over 160 countries. Through this work, he has become well known as a prolific author of Rotary information, with articles published in several languages.


Doug is frequently refereed as the Rotary's "Roving Ambassador" as he travels in Canada and throughout the world.
