Woodstock Oxford Rotary Club executive meeting April 2nd 2007
7:00 P.M. Call to order
Attendance: Paul Turner, Pieter Stam, Mike Sheehan, Coral Sheehan and Paul Bradford.
Incorporation of District 7080: Motion By Paul TO. 2nd Coral S. To present resolution to membership to incorporate District 7080 with a recorded vote by show of hands. Passed.
World Community Service projects present total of six projects. Motion by Mike S. 2nd Pieter Stam to have Paul B. make presentation to memberships on two projects 1st Hermosillo, Mexico. Breast cancer screening equipment and education 2nd Philippines, to assist street children through education and mentoring to be free of poverty. Passed.
Letter from Woodstock Soccer for financial support. Motion by Coral S. 2nd by Paul T. to defer till after Fish Fry. Passed. Pres. Paul to advise Wdsk Soccer.
Terry Hemsworth to leave club and Join in Thornbury Rotary.
Texas Hold'n Fundraiser has been placed on hold until we get ruling from Ro Frazer OCP. Mike Sheehan to pursue.
Treasures report: Paul T presented 6 month results to budget report . Only items of issue was $114. out of balance of Toy Show and needed report of Rotary Metals.
Bingo's are being topped up by City for only $50m this year. Bingo's are needing less top up this year. Increased Reporting due to ministry . Report by Mike S.
Silent auction, donations are slow and will not accept donation after April 27. Report by Coral S.
Discussion around Rotary Club giving taxable receipts. Rotary Club of Blenheim gives out taxable receipts. Does the club has to be a foundation ? Pieter Stam to investigate.
