Our summer meetings had a great start with 18 members/guests enjoying the warm hospitality of our hosts Caren and Wim Duizer. The day long rain showers did little to deter a great barbecue and sitting outside enjoying the beautiful view on the Duizer's back deck. I think I heard someone describe it as "The Field of Dreams".
Innvocation was provided by Norm with President Mike providing the usual toasts.
Following a delicious meal, President Mike discussed a few items of business. The club agreed that since we have no host for next week's meeting, we will attend the noon meeting of the Ingersoll Club on Thursday. Peter Stam will advised the Ingersoll Club and will put a notice in the Bulletin. It was also agreed that Norm will provide two bottles of the left over wine from the fish fry to each host family for our summer meetings. President Mike provided a brief update on Bingos.
As our summer meetings tend to be a great opportunity to relax and socialize, members and guests enjoyed the first of many summer meetings to come.
