Rama proposed a fine to Erik for all the troubles with the Kiddie Pool

Erik proposed that we have a round table to share what's new in our lives and talk about ourselves for a few minutes.  This session was enjoyed by all!

Rama, Jantine and Erik talked the District Assembly they attended last Saturday.  Some of the topics were:  Foundation, Treasurers Meeting, President Elect's Meeting, Water and the World and Membership.  At the Assembly they talked about this session that they offer to Rotary Clubs called a "Long Term Planning Session".  2 or so facilitators will come out to your club, upon request, to help create a long term plan.  It's a free session, about 4 hours long.  It works best when 15-20 people from the club participate in this session.  All that the club has to arrange is a u-shaped meeting room and food.
They mentioned again how important it is to have our police checks done.  If our club participates in any community events that include vulnerable people, this is necessary.  Vulnerable people aren't just youth, they are also the elderly and special needs people.  Think about all those events that we are a part of, and please get those checks done.  We thoroughly enjoyed the Assembly.

The Fish Fry made approximatly $14,600.00.  Mark your calendars for the next one on April 18th, 2009!We had a discussion about choosing club delegates for the RI Convention.  Pieter and Jantine Stam's names were brought up.

Tim mentioned that at the District Assembly on Saturday, at the Treasurer's Meeting, they said that most clubs include their dinner fees in their membership fees.  Tim also brought up that we need to make a decision about our bank accounts.

Next week our Fire Chief Scott Tegler will be here.  Please invite your friends to join us for that meeting!

Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
