As usual, Erik had fun with suggesting voluntary donations for people that did not walk the line/i.e. advertising their business. There were also several people that had a happy buck. Jantine suggested a voluntary donation for people that did not donated blood this week.

As Chair of the Fish Fry, Erik asked for people to sell Fis Fry tickets as the event is coming up quick (April 18) and give him an indication by April 8 of howmany tickets each individual has sold.

Our speakers were Laurie Vanderhaeghe and Sharron Poole, they are training to go on the Sears National Kids Cancer ride.

http://www.searsnationalkidscancerride.com/

They are training many hours a day to get in shape to do the coast to coast bicycle ride starting June 13 in Vancouver and ending up in Halifax June 25 with a group of 32 people. The training period is 6 months and during that time they are not to consume any alcohol and caffeine. On June 20th they will be in Woodstock.

Each rider is expected to raise about $25,000 with the total goal being $2,000,000 The money raised will support (10.000) children that are effected by Cancer in Canada.

Thank you Laurie and Sharron for such a personal and financial commitment to this cause, we all are very proud of you.
