Our special speaker was familiar to us as Terry Hemsworth spoke to the club about the Canadian Rotary Insurance Program.

The insurance program has been in place for 4 years and involves 5 brokers across Canada (including Terry, who was one of the Rotarians responsible for establishing it).  14 Districts and 550 clubs participate in the program which provides coverage for liability, directors and officers, property, and liquor liability.  Abuse is not covered so the district has established a code of conduct, a ten step process for protection and a "do's and don'ts" protocol for dealing with abuse concerns.  We thank Terry for sharing his knowledge with us and for his efforts with the insurance program on behalf of Rotary.

Ralph Benedict, President of the Rotary Club of Ingersoll and Martin Ward, Assistant District Governor visited us to inform the club about the hospitality suite that will be hosted by the five Rotary clubs of Oxford County at the upcoming district conference and to ask for our support and suggestions for the suite.

Peter Van Wees reported that $2120.00 was raised at the Woodstock Wood Show with the ATV raffle and $1820.00 was raised last weekend.  Currently the club has raised approximately $9500.00.  The draw will be held October 26.

Rotary golf shirts are available to order.  Paul Bradford is co-ordinating this and accepting orders from members.
