Our fines master Erik was in good shape this week as he was able to get many people to freely donate some loonies for happy/sad bucks and fines.

Doug Vincent's father is in the hospital in Buffalo and our thoughts go out to him and his family for a hopefull recovery and return to a local hospital.

Our speaker was not able to make it this evening, and as a back-up we viewed a video from a past Rotary International Convention featuring Jenny Horton.

Jenny, when she was 15 years of age, was selected to go on Youth Exchange from Australia to the U.S. and explained how much of an impact it had on her and how it changed the rest of her life.

After her Exchange she went on several Polio vaccination tours which included Africa and India and is now working for WHO (World Health Organization).

This video showed how youth exchange inpacted one person's life, and how it made her dreams come true.  She accomplished many things in her life, and she said that her year in the United States as a Rotary Exchange Student was the start of all her accomplishments.  Sometimes as Rotarians we may question Rotary's impact on our exchange students.  This movie just solidifies the importance of Youth Exchange.  You truly get that warm fuzzy feeling inside after watching the video.

If anyone wants to see it, please contact Peter Stam.
