Libby Harmer from VON Oxford was our guest speaker.  She is the Co-ordinator of Hospice Volunteer Visitors.  She shared with us that the VON has been in Oxford County since 1914 and was the first public health organization.  Today they offer a wide variety of programs including adult day programs, Meals on Wheels, seniors exercise programs, and hospice volunteer visitors.  Libby also spoke about the new hospice residence that is being developed due to Toyota's donation of the Dunford mansion to VON.  A building program is in the process of being decided and a design architect has been consulted.  This is in the early stages.
