Minutes of Meeting of October 18, 2006

This was a special meeting as we had the Group Study Exchange team from Brazil with us today. They spent the day visiting and touring parts of Woodstock and Oxford County. The stops included the Botanix Oxford InstaShade nursery and tree farm, Woodstock City Hall to meet the mayor, and Wim Duizer's farm. Special thanks to Rama Murthi for his work in organizing and hosting their visit today.
The GSE team joined us for our meeting in the evening and shared a presentation on Brazil and in particular their state of Santa Catarina. The team members come from an area known as the Itajai Valley which has a strong German tradition due to its pioneers, however the predominant language spoken is Portuguese.
We thank Roberto, Kelly, Nara, Luciana and Marcos for joining us today. The club presented the team with banners and pin collections.
