Fines and Happy/Sad Bucks: This week's meeting opened with a nice fines session led by Jack Bingham. Norm told a story about some flying lessons he had on the weekend. Some happy bucks were given for kids that have gone off to school.

Announcements: Terry Fox Run – this weekend the 13th beginning at Museum Square. Volunteers are needed. Norm and Helen Narancsik have been organizing this for 27 years now, and have decided to hand it over. We will approach the other Woodstock Club to see if they would like to take it on next year. Thank you Norm and Helen for your many years of service and for being a big part of raising lots of money for cancer research.

Outdoor Farm Show – September 15-17 we have a booth at the Farm Show for Drive for Polio Eradication. We require volunteers to sell those golf balls. The funds from the sale of our golf balls is our club's way of eradicating polio.

Toy Auction – we reviewed the financial statement for the Toy Auction. The statement is not complete as we require a few more bills to come in the mail. We had lots of volunteers on the Saturday of the sale, but we needed more volunteers for the Sunday. Many friends of Rotary volunteered for this event and we would like to give them a big THANKS! Also thank you to our club members who are on the Toy Auction committee for their hard work, and our members who also volunteered that weekend. The Toy Auction board is looking for another person for their committee.

Youth Exchange Weekend - the inbound exchange students in our district will be going to Pittock Park on the 19th of September for one night. This will be the first time the inbounds will be getting together for a fun weekend. They will compete in a Dragon Boat race. We require volunteers to cook supper and breakfast for the youth. Please bring your family out!
