First I want to thank all of you for helping to make this a successful year for Rotary and the camaraderie within our Club, it is so good to see everyone share the workload and help each other to reach the goals of Rotary and Humanity.
I know this year we've lost a few Good Rotarians (temporarily I hope) because of other commitments, but we are well on our way to start our recruitment plan. And as there are many people around that are willing To Lend A Hand, I am sure we will be successful. We already have some visitors (prospective members)that are coming to some of our meetings and I see that everyone makes them feel welcome.

This fall was busy. Our club completed the ticket sales for the ATV on which many weekends of your free time was spent. Thanks to all who participated we raised over $22,000 which was donated toward the new Woodstock Hospital. The winner of the ATV was Moe Welch, congratulations.

Our Rotary medals program also finished this fall with all chosen students receiving a check of $200.00 each toward their continuing education.  We are looking forward to next year to meet the next excellent group of young people.

Our Toyota meeting together with the Woodstock Rotary Club was a success. Many people were interested in why Toyota came to Woodstock and how it came about. We hope it answered some of your questions. Thank you all for helping and participating.

At our last meeting Ilene and Coral presented the Ingamo Christmas gift program and collected money and gifts for the children of Ingamo Homes. Thank you to all for the good work.

In my last letter I wrote that it gives me a warm feeling inside when we can do all these things for other needy people and I just want to repeat that, and sometimes it does not matter how much time it takes away from our free time.

On Dec.14 we had our Annual General Meeting at Jack and Sally Bingham. Thank you for opening your house to us, it was very enjoyable to all.
All the positions were filled for Directors, President elect and Treasurer, I am looking forward to be on the board with you.
Thanks for giving your time.

As I am writing this, we are(Edie and me) also planning a Mission Trip to Cuba (construction)for February 5th 2006, we will be gone for 2-3 meetings. If anyone is interested in this, please contact me.

Already we are near the end of December 2005, Christmas coming up and everyone busy with buying presents and having Christmas parties.
Especially at this time let us not forget the real meaning of Christmas and the people that are less fortunate.

We wish you a Blessed Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Pieter and Edie Stam
