The meeting was Presided by President elect Michael Sheehan.
Our guests, Carol Hemsworth, Julie Couwenberg, Jordan Bryson, Daryl Warboys and his wife and proposed new member Nicole were introduced.
Erik is really getting comfortable with fining people, some for not going to Tuesday's meeting with R.I. President elect Wilf Wilkinson, others for coming in late and Tim for something to do with a log according to Norm.
erik got himself fined for not introducing Dr. Dixit, our Guest speaker.

She was sponsored by Terry Hemsworth and works at Norwich Insurance.
Terry also got the priviledge to pin on the Rotary pin, with everyone holding it's breath.

Norm Narancsik introduced our guest speaker, Dr. Dixit.

Dr. Dixit started in Woodstock as a Doctor in 1969 and as a surgeon in 1971 in the Woodstock Hospital.
He has been very involved in many things at the Hospital, ie:
Ct scan, New Hospital location and many others.
Dr. Dixit spoke about Conrad Black and his family.
How he grew up, explaning that he was a grown man in a childs body when he was 10-13 years of age.
Getting expelled from Upper Canada College for Selling his homework, finishing his schooling and passing his final exam at the age of 32.
He became involved in a number of businesses, mostly in Newspapers like the Sherbrooke Record and Sterling Newspapers, but also in mining. Ravelston Corporation was also founded by the Black family.
Later he became involved and had controling interests in company's like Argus Corporation, Dominion Stores, Massey Ferguson, Hollinger Mines.
In 1985 he bought the British Telegraph Newspaper Group and by 1990 his companies ran over 400 newspapers in North America. These are some of the highlights of Conrad Black.
Norm thanked Dr. Dixit for coming out and speaking to our club and presented him with a Terry Fox memoir.
