Tonight's Rotary Meeting

Dear Friends of Rotary,

We are holding a special meeting tonight for those of you that have an interest in serving your community, locally and internationally. You are invited to join the Rotarians of the Woodstock Oxford Rotary Club for dinner at the Quality Hotel and Suites at 6:30 pm. The cost is $15 and the reward of being a Rotarian is priceless.

Rub shoulders with those who have witnessed first hand the gift of life through Rotary funded heart operations on children in Calcutta. Or those who have donated a Saturday to load a container of school supplies in Oxford County Schools that are headed to South Africa. Meet someone who has traveled to Hermosillo, Mexico to see the Breast Cancer Detection Program we funded. Or ask about the joy of meeting our local grade 3 students who are the recipients of their very own dictionary.

We have also arranged an interesting guest speaker from the RCMP who's topic will be "Control Your Risk of Loss from Fraud and Counterfeiting"

Here is your opportunity to be informed and minimize financial risk to your hard earned money and business success. You may be at risk, handling counterfeit merchandise from questionable suppliers. You may be suffering a loss of sales due to competitors promoting counterfeit goods. Or you may unknowingly be using counterfeit items to promote your business. All of these lead to breaking the law and economic loss for everyone involved.

Fraudulent activities are also a risk, with recent examples of business owners losing over $100,000. through employee or customer falsification activities. Money, credit card and internet scams are rampant, so we owe it to ourselves to be informed and educated regarding these issues.
